I would advice you to go for that particular branch which will complement your aptitude and interest. There are various specialization offered in B.Tech including core subjects. UPES is one of the best universities of India for specialization in core subjects. With its excellent faculty and unique programs, students of its B.Tech programs has secured very good placements in global corporate giants. I got to know from one of my friend who is student of UPES only that highest package of its B.Tech (applied petroleum engineering) is 16 lacs and average package is some 5 lacs plus.
