first of all congrats for choosing a right university for BED ( IGNOU)
its a central govt university
bed courses of ignou is recognized by central govt , all state govts 
recognized by UGC, AIU, MHRD, DEC, NCTE 
VALID FOR GOVT & PVT SEC JOBS IN iNDIA & aBROAD 
UR DEGREE will b valid for govt pay 
ma in education is considered equivalent to MED degree
other options u may have / like to choose MBA (EDUCATION MGMT), MBA (INSTITUTE MGMT), MASTER OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION,
DIPLOMA IN UNDERSTANDING CHILDREN'S WITH SPECIAL NEEDS,
DIPLOMA IN SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION,
DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY,
DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION ADMINISTRATION & PLANNING ETC

With MA education you can be lecturer in any DIET for general subject.
Scope of MA education is limited than M.ED as after doing M.Ed one can be a lecturer of general teaching subject and in yours PG subject
