According to the JEE Mains eligibility criteria, it is mandatory to score at least 75% marks in the 12th to get admission in any IIT, NIT or IIIT through JEE Advanced. For detailed information about JEE Main Eligibility, visit:

Though you can use your JEE Mains scorecard to get admission in other top private as well as state-funded colleges like: Thapar University BITS Mesra LNMIIT etc. If you still want to take admission in IITs or NITs or IIITs, you can prepare for next year. During your preparation, you can go for the NIOS exam to get sufficient percentage to qualify JEE exam. Hope this will help. Best of Luck.

No, you are not eligible to appear for Advance examination unless you secure 75% or in top 20th percentile in your board examination. For reserved category it’s 65%. So, you need to appear in the improvement examinations.
