NCERT (all subject) can make you crack JEE Mains. Books don't matter much but understanding does. NCERT books are plain and simple, self-explanatory. Regarding maths practice, trigonometry, coordinate geometry and Hall and Knight Algebra.

For chemistry, MCERT is the best option and for physics, you have to try some other books also.

You should solve at least two books of each subject, NCERT being the base of each. Also, HCV is a very versatile and conceptual book but practically, students at first are not that efficient to grasp all that at once. You should refer to at least two books to stand a place in JEE Mains. For Maths, Das Gupta, Mcgraw Hills (Mains) and RD Sharma objective are great. Also, never miss the previous year questions of any subject after 2008. Best of luck.

You can most probably crack Mains, HC Verma is great for concepts and the other two are good as well, make sure you solve every single question and example in chemistry NCERT because it is very often that questions come up as it is. In HSc Verma, be observant and understand the types of problems because what majorly creates the problem is that students cannot figure out what the question is all about. Other than that, be regular with revisions of these books, and you can pass with flying colours.
