The course structure is almost same for both the branches. It differs only by one or two subjects. You can definitely get placed in the same companies in which the ECE students get placed. However, telecommunication engineering is mainly focused in communication so companies like Airtel, Wipro Communication and other core communication companies come for placements for telecommunication students. Talking about the CTC, companies give a little more package to ECE students but then at the end of the day it is upto you how can you crack the placements. You might end up having a higher figure than an ECE student.
