Siddharth, Let me compare - BSc gives you a broad based vision and knowledge on sciences, and BFA gives a broad based vision and knowledge on creative arts. Why do you want to compare BSc and BFA, please state your goals. Also, on what areas do you want to compare them. And if you are comparing BSc (Animation) with BFA do remember BFA has 4 years and hence more to learn. BSc skips the most important part - that is drawing by hand (preproduction). So you would have to take up Animation Film Design elsewhere. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in UI Design, Graphic Design, Storyboarding, Animation Design, Game Design, 3D Modelling, Texturing and Lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously).
