You should have cleared any one entrance test (such as CAT/MAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT/GMAT/NEST) accepted by various colleges and you should also have minimum of 45% to 55% in your Bachelors (any stream) for admission in the same. Admission in MBA is done via two modes- either through an entrance exam or direct admission which is based on merit basis or management quota basis. MBA specialisation, which are as follows: Oil and Gas Management, Hospital and Healthcare Management, Supply Chain and Logistics, Tourism and Hospitality, Financial Markets, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Business, Operations, Information Technology, Retail Management, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Business Analytics, E-Commerce, Banking and Financial Services and agribusiness management. Some top institutes are: IIMs Xavier's Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, Lovely Professional University, Punjab K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research Mumbai Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management Delhi Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad Jamanalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai International Management Institute New Delhi

The answer is yes. Students from any stream can go for an MBA. If you are interested then go for it. The only thin is that if you are aiming for IIMs then you to perform really good in CAT. Apart from that you will have advantage o diversity points awarded to you for not being an engineer. The most important thing is having your story straight. In the interview for admission in IIMs you have to telll your story to the interviewer as of why you chose MBA even after doing BA. You have to convince them that you are really interested in the field and not here to make big bucks. Just tell why you felt like doing it. Which part are you particularly passionate about. For example, in Finance it is possible you are passionate about stock markets. Really famous investors like Peter Lynch had a major in Arts but went on to become best in their field because of their passion. So, if you want to do MBA, nothing can stop you.

My Classmate is a girl who did her class 11th and class 12th in Science. She has done Bachelors in Arts and now pursuing MBA in Human Resources. So definitely, it's all about your commitment and efforts.

As per my opinion and knowledge you can definitely go for MBA as the basic requirement for MBA is graduation. It doesn’t matter if it is BA, B.Com or B.Sc.
