Karnataka Common Entrance Test commonly known as KCET is not open for students from outside the state. Karnataka examination authority conducts KCET to admit it's students into various engineering, science and medical courses.There are certain terms and conditions for the candidates.There are certain eligibility criteria which are categorised into different sub categories. No, candidates from other states then Karnataka are not eligible for Karnataka common entrance test. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts KCET to offer admissions in various undergraduate as well as professional courses like Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Architecture etc. in the state of Karnataka. Karnataka Examination Authority conducts Karnataka common entrance test K CET two of admissions in various undergraduate courses as well as professional courses like medical dental Ayurveda homeopathy Naturopathy and yoga Engineering and Technology architecture etc. in the state of Karnataka. Because eligibility criteria for Karnataka common entrance test say that a candidate should have studied and passed in one or more government recognised educational institutions located in Karnataka for a minimum period of 7 academic years. If you have not studied in institutions affiliated to Karnataka or located in Karnataka then you are not eligible to give Karnataka Common Entrance Test.

Unfortunately, KCET examination is restricted to student from home state only. As student from another state won't be able to appear. As the eligibility criteria specifies that any candidate wishes to appear for the entrance examination should have studied and passed in one or more government or government recognized institutions in the state of Karnataka for a minimum period of seven years. Therefore, if you fulfill the above mentioned criteria, you can surely apply.
