Aviation is not any differ from other industries in basics. By basics I mean Marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Management, International Business etc. Every airline has all these departments and if you are employed with airlines and working for these department, then you will always add up to your experience and it shall definitely be counted as relevant if you apply somewhere else for a job. Transport industry which includes ticketing, may it be railways or road transport or water transport all shall have openings for such candidates who have an experience in Aviation. Branches like HR, Admin, Management, and Marketing are very much existing in other industries as well. So, candidates who possess experience in these departments are also considered for them.

The aviation sector is vast and there are many different streams that together comprise of the entire aviation industry. Jobs in the sector range from the Ticketing to the Cabin Crew department, the logistics to the loading department and from pilots to aircraft maintenance engineers, etc. Experience in any of these fields can be of great value even in the other sectors. For example, experience in the Cabin Crew and Ground Staff department can help with securing jobs in the hospitality industry. There are many 5 star hotels who would prefer an experienced ex-cabin crew to hire in their chain of hotels. Similarly, personnel from the logistics and loading department can easily secure jobs in other industries as logistic support itself is a very large industry and there are several opportunities. Even experienced ex-Pilots and Aircraft Engineers have an option to enter the education field and teach in respective colleges. Many of the positions held in the aviation sector have similar responsibilities of several other sectors and it would not be hard getting into another industry using the experience gained in the aviation industry.

Dear, Absolutely, yes! The area of aviation is so huge that it does not contains just pilots but some others fields are also there to help you in case you change your career. For example, if you have an adequate experience in the Dept. of Operation of Airport Authority of India, you can work in any organisation at HR level. Because both these profiles require relationship management, good communication skills, learning ability and analytical traits. Apart from that, if you were the former pilot, you can work in any reputed aviation academy or institution to train the other candidate. If you have past experience of ground operations at the airport then you are eligible to work in any government/private warehouse to shift and load the luggage and other stuff. So, there is no shortage of opportunities, your past experience should be strong enough to achieve a new height in the career. Hope this helps. Good luck.
