Brother, There are various options being in college to master the skills in your subject. You could aim for higher studies (M.Tech, ME, MBA or MS), you could aim for government sectors (PSUs, ESE or UPSC ) and you can go for defence too. So, it's up to you how you carve your path for your betterment. A small advice, don't aim for salary package. discover what you enjoy more and flourish there.

LPU is a good institute, but no doubt BITS is a very famous and reputed college for B.Tech. Unfortunately, you have very less chances of beating your friends in terms of salary. The salary depends on the hard work and skills of a student too.
