You have to first clear the exam IMU-CET to get into merchant navy. Now in your case, there is not the core requirement of EC engineer in merchant navy. You have two options, in the technical field join Electrical Technical Officer (ETO) course and in the non- technical field joins Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) course. ETO course is better as you have an engineering diploma. It is available for Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication or similar engineering field.
