Yes, as you have guessed correctly, if one does not have minimum prescribed marks, it is almost impossible to get admission. You can do graduation in another subject, and then B.Ed, but it is a long duration. I would recommend you to go for M.Phil or Ph.D, and then clear NET or SET. This will perhaps obviate the need for B.Ed.
