Yes, it is very nice to pursue interior designing course along with BA in economics. But, you should be sure about your interest. If you don’t have interest in doing design then you should not do this.

Doing a parallel course alongside graduation is always a good idea. Same time, you should be clear whether you want to take up interior designing as your career. If yes, then you should choose the professional courses in interior design, which teaches you from the rock bottom fundamentals of art and design till project management and execution at the client's place. So, a Master’s level or full time program after graduation would also be a good choice. Even, if you choose to do a part time course alongside graduation, you need to make sure that just don't end up learning few software used in interior design. Basically, interior design is an identification of client's space availability and providing aesthetic and functional design solutions along with implementation from scrap to finish. There is no chance a part time vocational course could teach all this.
