You must have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with: At least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (P C M), and At least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII

To be eligible to do marine engineering course, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with PCM stream from a recognised board. Admissions in marine engineering course are done through National or State or University level engineering entrance examination, you need to qualify the entrance examination and participate in counselling process to get admission for pursuing Marine Engineering course.

List of entrance exams for admission in Marine Engineering AIEEE All India Engineering Entrance Examination. MERI: Marine Engineering and Research Institute entrance exams JEE: Joint Entrance Examination IMU CET: Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test Eligibility criteria for B.E. Marine Engineering : Candidates who have studied in Science Stream (English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry) at 10+2 level are only eligible for admission. A minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for all categories I.e., OC/BC/MBC/SC/ST. Vocational / Diploma course students are not eligible. Age not less than 17 years and maximum age is 20 years. Candidates should have obtained 50% marks in English at 10th or 12th standard examination. Finally, candidates will be admitted to the course only after obtaining Physical Fitness Certificate signed by a Medical Officer approved by the Director General of Shipping, Government of India Admission to marine engineering courses in India are generally done through several entrance examinations conducted between the months of April and June.
