The Master of Business Administration (MBA or M.B.A.) is Masters in business administration (management). The MBA degree provides skills and knowledge to students to apply scientific approaches to management. The core courses in an MBA programme cover various areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and operations in a manner most relevant to the management analysis and strategy. Most of the programmes also include elective courses. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in MBA in the majority of institutes is at least a 3-years Bachelor's degree in any subject from a recognised university with at least 50 percent marks or equivalent (45 percent for SC/ST or persons with disability (PWD) category).
