Yes, it is not compulsory to appear for CAT GMAT instead of that you should try XAT NMAT, MSCET, SNAP etc.

Yes, you can. You can go for NMAT, IIFT SNAP CMAT MHCET XAT etc. However, a lot of these exams have syllabus similar to CAT. So, I would recommend you to give CAT as well, as more colleges take CAT score than these exams scores.

You can opt for other exams also like CMAT and MAT, which are comparatively easy. You will get good colleges.
