Can I pursue MCA through lateral entry after completing B.Com in computer application?

Eligibility criteria for 2 years lateral entry admission in MCA program in most of Universities is as follows: "Candidates should be pass in a recognised Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science) with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained atleast 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations". You are not eligible to seek admission in MCA lateral entry based on your educational qualification. You are advised to do MCA of 3 years duration.
