Yes, it is possible. Some universities permit any graduate to pursue MA in economics through distance education but demand BA in economics degree to pursue MA in economics in regular mode.

Yes, BA economics graduates are accepted by all the reputed Universities for MA in economics programs. JNU, University of Hyderabad, DSE, IGIDR & UPES Dehradun are the best for pursuing MA in economics and you are eligible to apply in all of these.
