Yes, you can do that. You will have to appear for GATE with code AE. A highly qualified student will always have high chances in placements. So, if you do M.Tech after completing B.Tech, then you will get more knowledge you. The AE in India is not developed that much as it should be. But, the jobs in this sector is growing and over a few years of time, this sector will lead the other sectors.

Yes you can take Aerospace as engineering for M.Tech. Only procedure is to clear GATE Examination in Aerospace engineering. Aerospace engineering is getting more hype these days because of advancement in the field. Government jobs are also there for Aerospace engineers. Also after completing your Masters you can go for doctrate degree in Aerospace or related fields. This will give you may opportunities. It is good option you can opt. All the best.!!!
