Here is the breif explaination about aerospace engineering: Aerospace engineering is the primary field of engineering concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft. It has two major and overlapping branches: Aeronautical engineering and Astronautical Engineering. Avionics engineering is similar, but deals with the electronics side of aerospace engineering. Research & Development in aircraft manufacture requires highly trained engineers, scientists and technicians specializing in areas such as aerospace, aeronautics, electronics, computer Science, robotics, bio medicine, acoustics, chemistry, physics and meteorology. Manufacturing of aircrafts for commercial or military use and space research and spacecraft production are high tech fields. And the packages for it lies between 2.76 Lacs to 33.67 Lacs per annum. Some of the best institutes for it are: Department of Aerospace Engineering - Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur Department of Aerospace Engineering-Indian Institute of Technology, Madras Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai Mohammed Sathak Engineering College, Madurai Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh University of Madras, Chennai.

Aerospace Engineering is the branch that deals with the development of aircrafts, aeroplanes, space shuttles, missiles, defence etc. These are broadly divided into 2 sub-branches: - 1) Aeronautical - Branch that deals within the Earth's atmosphere. 2) Astronautical - Branch that deals outside the Earth's atmosphere. However, the foundation for both the sub-branches is same. Like in early years, students learn how aerospace technology came into existence. History related to the production of Aerospace, basic mechanics behind flight etc. Aerospace Engineering is one of the toughest and challenging branches in Engineering. Have a look at a video of Aerospace Division of Engineering of college UPES: -
