Do MCA lateral entry students get less opportunities as compared to MCA candidates (3-year)?

But in case of MCA lateral entry it is already taken into consideration that the student has at least some basic & rudimentary knowledge of CS I. e it is meant for those students who have completed BCA or B.Sc. CS in their UG. Moreover MCA lateral entry is a 2 year course as compared to the former one which is a 3 year course
