Do students from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra get placed abroad?

Birla institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra is considered as best private engineering college after Birla Institute of technology and science (BITs) Pilani. The reputation of BIT is very good, even in foreign companies. As it is an old engineering college, the alumni network is very good. Alumni of BIT Mesra is working in top companies of the world. Getting placement abroad is not a big deal. More than thousands of students have been placed abroad till now. Although the number of foreign placements is few. If your aim is to get placed abroad then BIT Mesra will be a good place to study at. But only your caliber and talent will fetch you foreign offers.

To answer your question, students of BIT do get placed abroad with a handsome package of more than 20 LPA at a minimum for a core branch with the college being the top private engineering college in India. Even the best of the colleges cannot guarantee you a placement abroad because of the fact that it all depends on various internal factors of the company like the vacancy in the job location of your choice, the project where you fit must be going on at the job location of your preference, and hence as you see it is totally dependent on the company as to where it wants you to be placed, although it gives your job location a preference over the others. If you want to increase your chances of getting placed abroad any further then you should consider doing your Master's degree from a reputable college abroad as there are a lot of opportunities waiting for you as compared to India which is sad. BIT-Mesra comes under the category of well-known private institutions not only in the nation but worldwide. The placement scenario is also very nice when it comes to abroad placements and domestic placements. Though the students getting the abroad placements are very less as compared to the domestic placement, but it is not a very new thing in the institute. As all the BITS have a quality and hard working extract of students with it, the number of quality placements is high, most for the core branches. When the placement statistics is the concern, the highest number of students placed are from CSE department having an average of 11 lakhs per annum. Also, the students placed abroad are majorly from CSE and IT stream constituting the highest salary holders up to 30 lakhs per annum at the starting. Last year two mechanical students got placed in BMW due to their high level of creativity and ideas execution with reference to future demand of the customers. Though it was not campus placement still the students were undergrads of BIT-Mesra. Only to conclude that the campus placements are not only the gateway. Rest about the BIT-Mesra, the average package for mechanical is 7 lakhs, for ECE it is 8 to 9 lakhs and for civil it is around 8 lakhs per annum while highest may reach up to 40 lakhs.
