It's possible if you are from CSE/ECE. Prominent companies do visit top 5-6 NITs every year. The foreign placements aren't as good as IITs but yes there is a slight chance that one may get a foreign placement in Google, Facebook or some other software company. Companies like Finisar, Epic, Goldman Sachs, Barclay's etc offer abroad placements at NITs. Google also conducts an off-campus drive. Few NITs students particularly from top NIT such as Suratakal get placement abroad but it's percentage is not as high as of legacy IITs and BITS Pilani.
