Hey, A CBSE board student has more chances of cracking JEE than an ICSE student. This is primarily because the CBSE syllabus pattern is made in such a manner that it caters to reasoning and analytical abilities of students which are vital to succeed in exams like IIT JEE, AIEEE, etc. Another reason is that the concepts explained in NCERT books are not only used for setting up CBSE board question papers but also for setting up competitive exams like AIEEE, JEE, etc. thereby providing an added advantage to CBSE board students. CBSE board focuses more on science and maths which help CBSE board students aiming for JEE to prepare better than ICSE board students. It is safe to say that CBSE is the better alternative and preferred choice for many students all over India aiming to crack JEE examination. Hope this solves your query. All the best!

All that matters is your score and after that all these secondary things like board score matters but still CBSE gives you an angle and helps you to understand the importance of cracking JEE for getting a good college.

This is just a myth that is only a CBSE students can score good marks in JEE not students from ICSE. If you are good in Studies and you have all the key points & concept of all the chapter is in your mind and you know how to utilize, apply these concept in the question easily and faster than you have to problem in the exam. JEE paper just check the students’ potential and knowledge. Student which is average in studies can say that it is tough but when you are sincere in your work then it doesn't matter from which board you are. I think this is student to student thinking that JEE is difficult for ICSE student and easy for CBSE student. Main thing is if you really want to crack JEE Mains, then that wouldn't be difficult for you. If not, JEE is the toughest exam across the world. A CBSE student definitely has a greater chance of doing well in the JEE exam, since the CBSE syllabus is aligned with that of the JEE exam. On the exam day, however, it all comes down to the presence of mind and the knowledge possessed by the student in concern. There is not much difference in the syllabus between the two boards and the standards are more or less the same. Both are therefore, at the end of the day, on the same boat, and the student working harder and smarter has the upper hand.
