India is the biggest outsourcing hub for Information Technology outsourcing since last 15 years. India has largest pool of IT professionals which provide cost arbitage to enterprises in developed countries. But this status of Indian IT industry is in a challenged state now. Slowly Indian IT industry is declining because of out cry against outsourcing in Western countries and increasing restrictions on working visas by developed countries. With world economy in bad state this decline will continue further. Also with increased automation jobs in field are going to reduce further. Inspite of current state, Indian IT industry is still largest new job creator industry in India. Computer Science and Engineering grads of top engineering colleges are still in demand and will continue to draw premium salaries and career growth. If you have life long learning and knowledge update attitude this field is right for you.
