As both field has vast scope and both field will bring bright future. It depends on your interest. EC Engineers have to focus on electronics components whereas E Engineers focus on electrical items. Hi Before u choose u need to understand the difference as per ur ability. Both the fields have their own growth. Electrical engineers work on large power grids, electrical systems, electric motors, hybrid electric vehicles, to name a few. Core courses in the undergraduate curriculum include power system analysis, motors, transformers, control systems, high voltage engineering, power electronics, power system economics and control techniques, power system protection and switchgear and utilisation of electrical energy. ECE, on the other hand, focuses primarily on development and maintenance of electronic products for the transmission of information such as mobile phones, personal computers, tablets, digital televisions, the internet etc. ECE students study about semiconductor devices, circuits and communication systems. Core courses in ECE include signal processing, microprocessors, wireless systems, analogue and digital circuits, VLSI, semiconductor physics, semiconductor devices, communication theory, mobile communication and digital communication.
