Not really. Rank doesn't really matter when it comes to Indian institutions. Unless you're in an IIT or NIT or NSIT or DTU etc., everything else doesn't really make much of a difference. Coming to IP university, it may be a Grade A university, but its position with respect to elite institutions in India is questionable. There are some respectable Engineering colleges in IP. But, if you hear from their students, everyone will have some complaint or the other. What really matters is the kind of job opportunities your field has to offer at the end of your studies. College may play some role, but it is usually your own hard work and effort that will make a difference. Rankings are just a waste of time.
