You do not have any chance of getting into an IIM, as you do not meet the minimum percentile required for VA. You can ask your friend to use the following tool to get detailed information on eligibility:

All these colleges will look into your sectional percentile along with the overall percentile. By considering your overall percentile I can say that you got a fair chance to get into some of the IIM's but your sectional percentile in VA is definitely going to affect that chance. As far as I know all these colleges requires a minimum of 50% in sectionals.
