Electrical engineering is a better option. There are many vacancies in government and private Sector.

If you talk about today's world, then electrical is far better branch in terms of requirement for company but in future nothing can be said according to me you should go for electrical because it has more scope than mechanical now. But your interest depends as both have their own value in their field.

It depends on your interest, but the better scope is in mechanical engineering. In electrical engineering, opportunities are less. You should pursue engineering from a good college with decent placement assistance.
