CV is very important for summer placements at IIMs because the shortlist for Interviews or GD (if any) happens purely based on your resume. The resume includes sections such as awards and achievements, Positions of responsibility, extracurricular activities and work experience if any. Freshers can include their internships/projects. All the points added to your resume will undergo a verification process by the placement committee. You will have to produce substantial proofs from the concerned authority to support your points. Also, you will have to mention data such as the number of participants, footfall, etc. for every point which might not be mentioned in your certificates. The more impact your resume has the more probability of shortlisting from companies. It is good to have points that will bring out your skills and the impact you have made at your workplace / college.
