First of all, you should not expect that you'll be placed in a core company once you finish your degree from Dehradun Institute of Technology as it fails to attract any except Amazon which recruits one or two from the college. Although, association with IBM for the computer science course is an added advantage but is nowhere going to help you because of the quality of companies visiting the campus during the placement drive. Most probably you will get placed in an IT company by the reputed mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Accenture leaving you with no other option but to go for your Master's degree program if and only if you want to get into a core company as per your specialisation. The average placement package for the department is around 4 LPA while the highest for the same branch being around 25 LPA by Amazon. Therefore, you can consider joining the college if you have no other better college to get admission in or in case you want to enjoy beautiful campus located in a hill station. Hope you do well.
