Honestly speaking, Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT), Kolkata has a pathetic placement record for applied electronics and instrumentation engineering. However, most of the students go for higher studies and doing well after that. But if your aiming to get a good placement just after your Bachelor's then applied electronics and instrumentation may not be a good choice, that too in HIT. Some students who know coding and software related stuff get themselves placed in the IT companies with an average package of around 3-4 Lacs per annum. Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services are the major recruiters there. Also, infrastructure wise HIT is one of the top engineering colleges of Kolkata. Placement in branches like computer science and engineering is very good there. I will recommend you to take any other branch in HIT if you want placement. If your aim is to go for higher studies then you can take applied electronics and instrumentation engineering.
