The branch for which you are asking the placements is among the top branches of UPES. The term 'Petroleum' itself comes in the name of University name i.e, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. The University has various branches in different domains too like Aviation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Fire & Safety etc. (go to their official site for various program list

) still it succeeds in managing its top position in the field of Oil and Energy. UPES is the only university in ASIA to win 'The World Oil Award' and the only one in India to have its own Bio-Diesel Station. UPES became the part of Laureate International Universities Network in 2013 and some specialized online courses are regularly conducted by Laureate itself which brings an international academic experience in students. From starting, UPES keeps its position at the top mainly in the branch of Petroleum. There are 2 branches for Petroleum, one is UPSTREAM and second is DOWNSTREAM (Gas). Placements for both the branches are nearly equal and turned out to be excellent every time. The average package from UPSTREAM is approx 6.7 lacs to 8.96 lacs per annum. The highest package from upstream is around 33 lacs (had been offered once by Schlumberger). The top recruiters are Schlumberger Asia Services Ltd., Reliance Industries Limited, ONGC, Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, QuEST Global Engineering, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited etc. UPES succeeds in placing 83%, 79%, 86% and this year around 88.6% students of the branch which in turn out to be the best placement structure for oil and gas field in India.

UPES Managed to place around 85% of Non IT people in the year 2017 and the overall placement scenario for both IT and Non IT people were as follows: Highest Package: 26.71 lacs Average Package: 3.85 lacs You can know more about their placements on their website:
