PSG College Of Technology is one of the best private colleges in India and it is ranked 24 in the list of the best engineering colleges in India. It has many courses to offer out of which biotechnology is one of the course which offers about 60 seats to the students of biotechnology. It is affiliated to Anna University. It is very well known for its great infrastructure and knowledgeable faculties with experience and facilities provided by them like Wi-Fi Sports complex and labs with better equipment and machines. PSG College Of Technology focuses on giving practical knowledge to the students which helps the students of biotechnology to know more about the organism's cells, etc. in detail which helps them to get better placement. There are many companies that come for the placement which are as follows: ABB | ACC Limited | Accenture | Aditya Birla Nuvo | Adobe | HCL | Hospira Injectable | Hyundai | IBM | IGATE | Indian Oil | Infosys | ITC Infotech | John Deere | KPMG | L&T Technology | Larsen and Toubro | Mahindra and Mahindra | Pidilite industries | Polycab Wires | Pricol | Reliance | Renault Nissan | Royal Enfield | Sanmar | Tata Steel | Tommy Hilfiger | Wipro | Yahoo Due to the lack of companies related to biotechnology, most of the students of biotechnology are placed in the mass recruiter company like TCS, Accenture, etc. The average salary provided to the students of biotechnology is about 4.5 Lacs per annum. Hope it helps.

Biotechnology has a much wider scope in the coming future but it is not recommendable to get into the field through some private college if the placement is what you are looking for otherwise you are free to use whichever college provide you the best of the education. PSG College Of Technology has been known for its excellent placement record in fields like computer science, information technology and others. I'll tell you about the pros and cons of placement at PSG College Of Technology: Pros: The college is successful in attracting a number of IT companies. There is 80% batch placement in biotechnology. Cons: 1. Almost 60% of the batch get placed in IT companies due to lack of core companies visiting the campus. 2. The companies that visit the campus during the placement season are: CAMPUS Brahmos, Aerospace, Fiorano Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd, IVY Comptech, Michelin Tyres, Qualcomm India Pvt. Ltd., srf i2 Technologies India Pvt. Ltd, LMS Emmeskay Solutions Pvt. Ltd., BGR Energy Systems Limited, Defence Research & Development. The college provides for an average placement of 3.5 lacs and the highest placement being 7.5 lacs. I hope this answers your question.
