Last year placements of IIT, Madras for Chemical engineering invited some top-notch organization like following:- 1. Birla Cellulose, 2. Lodha Group, 3. Ashok Leyland, 4. Carthero technologies Pvt. Ltd., 5. Tata Chemicals, 6 . Samsung Electronic, 7. Cognizant Technologies, 8. Hindustan Copper, 9. Finmechanics India Pvt. Ltd., 10. General Motors. Above are the recruiting companies at IIT, Madras for Chemical engineering where the average salary is Rs 7 LPA, the median is Rs 9 LPA and highest salary is Rs 19 LPA. IIT Madras is one of the well reputed institutions in India and one of the old iits. So it attracts lots of good companies for placements and the statistics are pretty good as such. For 2016 for Chemical engineering 49 students registered for placements out of which 39 were placed (BE). The percentage of students placed was 91.30 percent as such. The packages offered for Chemical Engineering students were in the range between Rs 4.5 LPA to 17.6 LPA. The average package was between Rs 6 - 7 LPA (approx) . Many students also opted for roles in Management, Finance and Consulting. If you see the placement report you will find many banks including Credit Suisse, Citicorp, Goldman Sachs, Axis, PwC etc. So the overall scenario looks good for IIT Madras Chemical placements. Greetings from Shiksha. Chemical Engineering is very good and is among the core branch of Engineering. IIT Madras is at the top among all the IITs. Talking about the placements of Chemical Engineering at IIT Madras is, almost 100% ratio is seen every year. The average package of Chemical Engineering at IIT Madras is around Rs 9 to Rs 11 lakhs per annum . Many Multinational Companies visit here and offers the good packages to Chemical Engineers. Companies like Amazon , Google, Microsoft,Yahoo, Reliance Industries, PepsiCo, Glenmark, Wipro, Asian Paints, Sun pharma, Dr.Reddy , Zydus Wellness, Cadilla Pharma, Adani Group, HPCL, BPCL, Lodha Group, Samsung, Paytm, Ashok Leyland, Morgan Stanley, Bosch Group, Iffco, etc. Since Chemical Branch is best and evergreen, the placement ratio of chemical branch will also increase in future with good amount of packages by the companies.
