How are the placements of B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from MIT Manipal?

It was established in 1969 and is one of the oldest engineering branches in Manipal and has its reputation. I can say that faculty is not 100% best, not more than 4 to 5 professors are good with their subjects. Professors are really good and are ready to help you. The course structure is pretty good and equivalent to BITS (HOD used to be from BITS). Excellent chemical engineering laboratories - Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer and a State of the art Process Control lab. The computer lab equipped with all the engineering software - CAD, Aspen, Matlab. Practice School Policy. Students can do their final year projects outside the institution like - CSIR labs, Honeywell etc., Coming to the important section placements if your goal is to get a job in service/IT industry then it's not a big deal. MIT doesn't have any sustainable relations with process industries so it's a challenge to find core chemical industries on the placement list. To my knowledge, these are the companies I've seen during my 4 years at Manipal:- Jindal Steels, Grasim textiles, Reliance, Mangalore refinery recruited students having 8 and above CGPA.
