NITs are the premier engineering institutes in India. NIT Calicut is one these NITs and is pretty well known all over India. According to the National Institute ranking framework it stands at 44th rank among all the engineering colleges in India. For Chemical Engineering out of 70 students who enrolled for placements only 38 were placed. Minimum salary offered was 4.5 LPA while the average salary offered was 7.4 LPA.
