NIT, Tiruchirappalli has a reputation for having the best chemical department in all of the NIT present in India. That being said, I would like to suggest you that you should only take up chemical engineering if you are passionate about the field and not considering the placement as a factor of your choice. Chemical course at NIT, Tiruchirappalli would be a fun course for you as any other student of the college. The college managers to have a total batch placement percentage of 100% and almost every student gets placed at which level company he wishes to be placed at. A lot of core companies also visit the campus and are offering high paying jobs with nothing less than Rs 6 to Rs 7 lakhs. Also, some of the students have managed to get their admission to Ivy League of colleges USA which brings them one step closer to being place at ISRO, DRDO, NASA and many other such a reputed organizations I hope this helps. Cheers!
