The placements at NIT-Tiruchirappalli for Civil Engineering is very good. It is almost around 95% every year. This credit goes to training and placement cell of NIT-Tiruchirappalli. The average package is around 6 to 8 LPA here. Civil Engineering is among the evergreen fields of Engineering. Many companies take part in placement cell at NIT-Tiruchirappalli. Companies like DLF, L&T, ONGC, Adani Group, Aditya Birla Group, Goldman Sachs, Google, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, OLA Cabs, Microsoft, Oracle, Raymond, Arvind, Volvo, Mercedes, Bosch Group, Shell, Snapdeal, Stayzilla, Parthenon Group, TSMC, etc., recruit students from here. Many of the students are getting very good packages in Civil engineering branch. Nowadays, placements of core Engineering branches will increase like for Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, CSE, etc., with a very good amount of package especially in IITs and NITs, the packages will always be better and higher than the previous year because more and more companies take part in the placement cell.

National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli is known for its excellence in placements and is the top National Institute of Technology in India. Being in National Institute of Technology, it ensures you the best of the placements in the whole country after Indian Institute of Technology. The college manages to attract a number of core companies for the civil department and provides for a total batch placement percentage of around 90%, where almost half of the placements are done in core civil companies. Some of the students who aspire for bigger pay packages go for placements under corporate firms that visit the campus for the placement drive, but only a few are allowed to sit for the placements in the same company offering them nothing less than 7 to 8 LPA. By all means, I would recommend you to join this college as it would provide you with best of the placements even if you fail to perform well in your academics. Cheers.

NIT Trichy is surely known for its placements and is ranked first among all the NITs for a reason. In 2016 the percentage of total students placed was 96.7 percent. For the civil department, it was an 85.3 percent for 2015 and 86.6 percent for 2016. Talking about the companies that visit for recruiting for civil included big names like Larsen and Turbo, Tata steel, Essar group etc. But many students from circuital branches also opt for roles in IT/CS and management as such. In these sectors, we have some of the really big names like Amazon, Google, Facebook in tech and Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte in management/finance coming for recruitment. The training and placement cell of NIT, Trichy is well managed and every year it brings down some of the best companies from all sectors to the campus. NIT, Trichy is constantly working on making its student's industry ready and it is showcased in the placement statistics. But NIT, Trichy is much more than just placements. Here you will learn much more outside the class than from textbooks. Staying here for four years surely makes you ready for the outside world.
