IIT, Madras is ranked 1st among all the engineering college in India and CSE is the best branch now a days. Obviously the placement is very good apart from all the engineering college of India. NIRF uses all the parameters like placement, infrastructure, research, etc., to rank a college. Now, if we talk about the overall placement, it's pretty awesome. A total of 1206 students registered for placement drive and 725 students got placed taking the overall placement percentage to 70.18. In Computer science and engineering branch, 120 students registered and 95 got placed. The highest salary offered last year was 84.32 lakhs per annum and lowest salary offered was 3 lakhs per annum.
