NITs are the premier institutes for engineering after the IITs. NIT-Warangal is one of the top NITs and is known across India. According to the National Institute Ranking Framework, NIT-Warangal ranks 34th among the engineering colleges in India. For Computer Science Engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 108 students who applied to placements from CSE department, 107 students were placed meaning 90.1 percent placement for CSE which is quite an impressive number. For CSE, the minimum salary offered was 3.3 LPA. The average salary was 13.5 LPA and the maximum salary was 20 LPA. All these figures suggest pretty good placements at NIT-Warangal. Some of the companies which came for placements were Microsoft, D.E.Shaw, Adobe, Directi, Tower Research Capital, Cisco, IBM and some investment banks like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, etc. Source:

Greetings from SHIKSHA. The placements at National Institute of Technology, Warangal of Computer Science Engineering is really very good. The placement ratio is almost 100% placement. Many multinational IT companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc. visit every year and take students from here. The average package is around 15 lakhs per annum. Since this Branch CSE is among the evergreen field, the placement of this branch will increase with a good amount of packages. Companies like TATA Motors, Tech Mahindra, Reliance Industries and L&T are the bulk recruiters. Other than these companies, many companies like ITC, Zydus, Torrent, Sun pharma, Apollo, Ultratech, etc. takes students from here. This all credit goes to training and placement cell department of NIT, Warangal. So, it is really good to do computer science engineering from a reputed institute or university if someone is really interested in this and is in the search better packages and further studies. So, the placement ratio of NIT-Warangal is almost 100% and in future, it will be like this only for computer science engineering and other top engineering fields.

Placement quality and quantity both vary with the branch. Really, it does matter that which branch you belong to but not so much if you have the talent to do really amazing things then branch and other things do not matter. But even then comparatively CSE, ECE student will get well placed than other branches. Every year, CSE students have 100% placement. Many multinational IT companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Idirect, etc. visit every year which offers very good packages. For last few years, an average package for CSE is approximately 13-15 LPA which is more than any other NIT and most of IITs. The placement scenario for other departments is good too. In 2013, NIT-Warangal bagged about 650 jobs with packages mostly between Rs 3.5 lakh per annum to Rs 65 lakh per annum. On an average, a CSE student got a job offer of Rs 9-10 lakh per annum while an ECE student got an offer of Rs 7-8 lakh per annum. Company for placement: There were also a large number of analytics positions on campus this year offered by the likes Fractal, LatentView, Novartis, Standard Chartered, MuSigma etc. Teaching positions were offered by the likes of Aakash, Resonance, FIITJEE, TIME etc. Companies like TATA Motors, Reliance Industries, and L&T being the bulk recruiters. Other top companies were ITC, Schlumberger, Alstom, Coke, General Electric, Toshiba, etc.
