NIT Trichy is surely known for its placements and is ranked first among all NITs for a reason. In 2016 the percentage of total students placed was 96.7 percent. For EEE department it was 100 percent for both 2015 and 2016. Talking about the companies that come for recruiting there are reputed names like Schneider Electric, BHEL, Eicher,BGR energy Bharat Bijlee. But many students from circuital branches also opt for roles in IT/CS and management as such. In these sectors we have some really big names like Amazon, Google, Facebook in tech and Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Delloite in Finance/management role. The training and placement cell of NIT Trichy is well managed and every year it brings down some of the best companies to the campus. NIT Trichy is constantly working on making its students industry ready and it is showcased in the placement statistics. NIT Trichy is much more than placements. Here you will learn much more than what you learn from textbooks. Staying here for four years will make you ready for the outside world.

The placements of this college is the best of all NITs and the highest pack of this branch is 35 Lacs per annum, plus perks and some good companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, PayPal, Samsung, Walmart, DE Shaw, Morgan Stanley visits this campus.

EEE (Electronics and Electrical Engineering) is an ever-green branch among all the engineering streams because sometimes the software boom goes up and down. You people who take EEE as their qualification in their B.Tech don't worry because there are a lot of government jobs and core sector jobs like Transco, Genco, power Grid, Sub-Engineer, Thermal power stations, Steel plants etc. Electrical and electronics engineering is a developing and one of the most sought-after disciplines in the profession of engineering study. It comprises with the electrical engineering and electronics engineering. The top recruiters that require the electrical and electronics engineers are: BHEL NSPCL Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd BALCO SAIL NTPC Durgapur steel plant ISRO OMEGA Elevator CONE Elevator ALSTOM India Power project Everest Industry Tata Motors Jay Balaji Steel Tata Steel and Power Limited State Electricity Board TRF Ltd TRL Jindal Steel and Power Limited GAIL Hindustan Motor The average package is about 12 LPA which I must say, is very good.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, NIT, Tiruchirappalli was started in the year 1964. The placements have always been good at NIT, Tiruchirappalli. As per the latest placement record, the highest package offered was 21 LPA and the lowest was 4 LPA. The top recruiters are TCS, CTS, Wipro, Caterpiller, Affine, Zoho, Mobius, Blue Star, Sensiple, Ramco, IMRB, Mafoi, Sundaram Finance, ICICI, SIB, Mahindra Finance, Tech Mahindra, Berger Paints, FLIP, Gain Theory, CapGemini, Sonata and many more. I would rather say that you won't leave this college without a job. Important topics to focus:- Total no. of companies who visited the campus as of March 18, 2016 - 102. Nearly 100% placement each year.Every year the company to student ratio is greater than 1.Placement is a mixed pool of Core, IT & Management profiles.Students aim at a profile not the pay. National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli is best known for its placements and specially for Electrical and Electronics Engineering it has a track record of 100% placement.
