College of Engineering, Pune is one of the best colleges in Maharashtra after IITs and NITs. According to MHRD rankings, it stands at an impressive 24th position. From what I have learned while pursuing B.Tech from NIT Trichy, is that COEP is known even to the people in Tamil Nadu which means it is known all over India. For electrical engineering department, last time (2016-17) out of 72 students who applied to placements from EE department 54 students were placed meaning 75 percent placement for EE which is a quite good number. Many reputed companies visited the campus for recruiting from EE department. The lowest package offered was around Rs 3 lakhs per annum and the highest package offered was around Rs 33.8 lakhs per annum (across all branches). However, the average package was Rs 6.5 lakhs per annum. So the overall scenario for electrical engineering placements was good at College of Engineering, Pune. Source -
