College of Engineering, Pune is among the top private colleges in Pune itself and among few of the top 5 colleges in Maharashtra in private sector. In the department of electronics and telecommunication engineering, one can expect an average placement package of 4.5 to 5 lacs. The college also manages to attract a number of core companies where the highest package offered by them were handsome amount of 30 lacs per annum. Some of the companies that show up during the placement season at College of Engineering Pune for electronics and telecommunication engineering in the year 2017 Cybage India Software, IBM, Infosys, Mahindra & Mahindra, Nvidia, TATA MOTORS, THERMAX, Wipro Accenture, Deloitte, HPCL, ITC , Siemens, TATA Technologies, TCS, Bajaj Auto, Daimler, John Deere, TATA POWER, TCE Cummins India Pvt Ltd, Honeywell Marvell India Pvt. Ltd., Schneider Electric, BPCL (Refinery), Syntel, Amdocs Atos Origin. With all this in mind, one can really consider taking up this branch as an undergraduate program, as it has high scope for everyone. Cheers!

College of Engineering Pune is one of the oldest engineering colleges of India. COEP is considered among the top notch institutes other than IITs, but as I said earlier that it's a very old engineering college, so the buildings are old and library looks older as well. Infrastructure is good, but don't expect too much from COEP. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is sandwiched between the core and the software field. So, many students moved to software related jobs and many managed to get the core jobs. Around 40-50 percent students get a core job and placement in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is 90 percent. The average salary offered was around 5 LPA and the highest package offered was 30 LPA. Companies like Seimens, Microsoft, Samsung, and JP Morgan visited the campus for placement. Overall, COEP will be a good choice for Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering if you are not getting any IITs or top NITs. COEP is far better than many new NITs and IIITs. Hope it helped. College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) is an autonomous engineering institute affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Established in 1854, it is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Asia, after College of Engineering, Guindy-Chennai (1794) and IIT-Roorkee (1847). COEP has numerous courses and some of them are as follows: 1) Civil Engineering 2) Electrical Engineering 3) Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering 4) Instrumentation and Control Engineering 5) Mechanical Engineering The Department of Electronic and Telecommunications was one of the flagship courses of COEP. Some of the well-established companies like Reliance, ABB Honeywell, Jio, IBM, TCS and Infosys visit campus on a regular basis.
