Indian Institute of Technology-Roorkee is one of the best government colleges in India and it ranks in top 5 colleges of India. Placements of B.Tech in engineering physics from IIT-Roorkee are very good as many of the core companies related to engineering physics comes to the placements. It is all the work of placement cell of IIT Roorkee which attracts many large companies or major companies of India and of abroad. It also provides the most important thing required nowadays is hands-on experience what practical knowledge with theoretical knowledge which helps in getting good placement. IIT-Roorkee is known for its infrastructure and knowledgeable faculty members with about 5 to 10 years of experience teaching in college. Facilities provided by the college are really good like Wi-Fi Sports Complex and labs with better equipment and machines. There are many local and foreign companies that come for the placement of engineering physics. Most of the students of engineering physics are placed into non-core companies like TCS, Accenture or any oil company, etc. Average salary provided to the students of engineering physics is about 5-6 Lacs per annum.

An engineering physics student has a much higher chance of clearing them as any other branch in any IIT. In my point of view, if you are not going in computer science or mathematics then you can choose IIT before the branch for your placement will be reflective of the institute and not of your branch. In last, I want to say that the branch is not important, your CG is. If you think you can get a higher CG in physics than any other branch, go for it. Personally, I found physics to contain very little rote learning. Most of the courses, you can Master if you get the concepts right.
