COEP is among the best institutes for engineering in India. Perhaps it is not so impressive interms of the placements and exposure you will get from COEP is just fairly decent. Here is some statistical insights of the college. Placements Scenarios:- Control and Instrument Engineering Average package:- 4 lakhs Highest package:- 12.5 lakhs out of 35, 29 students got core offers which denotes 90% students got placed which is very lucrative, hence Instrumentation Engineering is recommended for COE Pune. Top Recruiters:- Jayoee Grp, Ambuja Cements, tata construction, polaris, Essar, DLF, Mayfair, ZS Associates, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Box8, Larsen and toubro , Lodha Group, Bhushan Steel, Essel Mining. The college needs dedicated orchestrated effort to rope in many more companies as the list is not exhaustive enough for such huge strength of students at COE. However, last year with huge faculty and alumni support, the placements were astonishing for Instrumentation Engineering branch.

College of Engineering, Pune is one of the best colleges in Maharashtra after IITs and NITs. According to MHRD rankings it stands at an impressive 24th position. From what I learned while pursuing B.Tech from NIT, Trichy, is that COEP is known even to the people in Tamil Nadu which means it is known all over India. For Instrumentation and Control department last time (2016-17) out of 36 students who applied to placements from ICE department 26 students were placed meaning 72.22 percent placement for ICE which is quite a good number. Many reputed companies visited the campus for recruiting from ICE department. The lowest package offered was around Rs 3 lakhs per annum and the highest package offered was around Rs 33.8 lakhs per annum and the average package was around Rs 6.5 lakhs per annum across all branches. So the overall scenario for ICE placements was good at College of Engineering, Pune. Source -
