Placements is one of the things NIT Trichy is known for. Last year total percentage of students placed across all branches was 96.7 percent. Coming to ICE department, the placement percentage was a bit more than the overall percentage and stood at 96.9 percent. It is worth mentioning that the placement was 100% for ICE in 2014 and 2015. The major roles offered were in core, IT and management. Students should keep in mind that profile of job is also of utmost importance as much as the pay because the experience you get in a particular profile shapes your future career. Last year 102 companies visited the campus and 72 students got placed from ICE. The highest package offered in 2015 was 14 LPA and in 2016 was 21 LPA. The ratio of companies to students is greater than one which clearly shows interest of companies in NIT Trichy. But NIT Trichy is much more than placements. Here you will learn much more outside the classrooms than from textbooks. NIT Trichy provides a nice blend of academics and extra curricular activities which makes the student ready for the outer world.

Instrumentation and Control Engineering is among the best courses in engineering in terms of training ,education Placements. The placements at National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli for Instrumentation and Control Engineering is really very good. The placement ratio is almost 90% placement. The average package is around 8 to 10 LPA. Since Instrumentation and Control are among the evergreen field, the placement of this branch will increase with a good amount of package. Many companies like JCB India Limited, Loreal, Barclays Capital, Bosch India, Capgemini, Deutsche Bank, Cognizant, DBS Bank, etc., recruit students from here. This all credit goes to the training and placement cell department of NIT-Tiruchirappalli. So, it is really good to do Instrumentation and Control Engineering from well reputed Institutes. So, the placement ratio of NIT-Tiruchirappalli is almost 90% and in future, it will be like this only for Instrumentation and Control Engineering and other top engineering fields.
