How are the placements of B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Engineering) from VIT University, Vellore?

Escorts 28.Honey well 29. BRAKES INDIA 30. The highest package of this year was from West Line Ship Management (21.6 LPA). I don't know how the placements are there in IIT'sand NIT's for mechanical but here in VIT, these are the companies visited this year till now. I hope few more companies may join in this list at the end of this 2016 academic year because still one more semester is there to complete this academic year. NOTE: All these above-mentioned companies had taken in single digit numbers (min 1- max 10) and package ranging (3LPA-12LPA) In simple words, companies do come, it's up to you to get placed.
