Mechanical engineering is best Branch of Engineering and offers many government jobs . The placement at Harcourt Butler Technical University of Mechanical Engineering is good. The placement ratio is almost around 75 to 80% placement. The average package offered is around 3 to 5 LPA. Since mechanical engineering is amongst evergreen fields, the placements in this branch will increase with good amount of packages. Company like Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, Reliance Industries and L&T are the bulk recruiters. Other than these companies, many companies like Eicher, Ultratech Cement, Adani Group, Ashok Leyland, etc. takes students from here. This all credit goes to Training and Placement Cell Department of HBT University. So it is really good to do mechanical engineering because in upcoming years there will more job opportunities in this Branch due to establishment of many Industries in India. So the placement ratio of HBT University is almost 75 to 80% and in future it will be like this only for Mechanical Engineering and other top Engineering fields.

Harcourt Butler is the second best engineering college in the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, next only to IIT Kanpur. Hence, the placements at the college are pretty respectable for all the streams. Now, when one does a relative comparison the average CTC for mechanical is lower than other branches like CSE, ECE and it. The average CTC this year for mechanical was about 5lpa. HBTI attracts several major recruiters for the mechanical branch like Bajaj auto, Dabur, DCM Shriram to name a few. Over the past few years, the placements have declined due to automation in several sectors and due to this there are a percentage of students who are unplaced. That said, about 70% of the batch was able to secure placements on campus this year. The fee structure is 3 lakh for the entire course giving a great return on investment. In terms of facilities, HBTI is not that great. But the student pedigree is very good. HBTI also has a highly revered faculty which has been associated with it for several decades. The college has a rich legacy behind it. Hope it answered your queries. All the best!
