COEP is among the best institutes for engineering in India. Perhaps it is not so impressive interms of the placements and exposure you will get from COEP is just fairly decent. Here is some statistical insights of the college. Placements Scenarios:- Production Engineering Average package:- 4 lakhs Highest package:- 9 lakhs Although only 55% students got placed which is very average, hence Production Engineering is not recommended for COE Pune. top Recruiters:- Jayoee Grp, Ambuja Cements, tata construction, polaris, essar, dlf, Mayfair, ZS Associates, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Box8, Larsen and toubro , Lodha Group, Bhushan Steel, Essel Mining. The college needs dedicated orchestrated effort to rope jn many more companies as the list is not exhaustive enough for such huge strength of students at COE. So choose wisely accordingly. Best of luck for all your future endeavours.

College of Engineering, Pune is one of the best colleges in Maharashtra after IITs and NITs. According to MHRD rankings, it stands at an impressive 24th position. From what I learned while pursuing B.tech from NIT Trichy, is that COEP is known even to the people in Tamil Nadu which means it is known all over India. For production department last year (2016-17) out of 72 students who applied for placements from 49 students were placed meaning 68.06 percent placement in the production department. Many reputed companies visited the campus. The lowest package offered was around Rs 3 lakhs per annum and the highest package offered was around Rs 33.8 lakhs per annum and the average package was around Rs 6.5 lakhs per annum across all branches. So the overall scenario for production placements was good at College of Engineering, Pune. Source -
